  1. 1Catch every new sign-up

    • New product sign-up: Fires a webhook.
    • Clay webhook (per sign-up): Email, Name and Username. That is all the product knows. The pipeline starts here. Tool: Clay.
  2. 2Find out who signed up

    • Enrich the contact: LinkedIn profile, Job title, Company and Location. Find: Findymail and Clay.
    • Clay AI reads the email → Email type column
      • name@company.com → Work email
      • name@gmail.com → Personal email
  3. 3Build the company profile

    • Enrich the company (from the domain): Industry, Headcount, Location and LinkedIn page. A complete company record so the score reflects the account, not just the user. Tool: Clay.
  4. 4Score, tier and sync

    • Title and seniority
    • Company size and industry
    • Location
    • Clay formula scores the fit. Tool: Clay.

    • Tier 2: Good fit.
    • Tier 3: Okay fit.
    • Contact and company created or updated. Tool: HubSpot.
  5. 5Route into tiered outreach

    • Tier 1: LinkedIn + alert (tier 1): The best sign-ups get a personal LinkedIn touch and the team hears about it. DM: lemlist. Alert: Slack.
    • Tiers 2 and 3: email (tiers 2 to 3): Automated email sequence for everyone else. Send: Instantly.
    • Outcome: Every sign-up worked by fit. Tool: HubSpot.

The stack: Clay, Findymail, HubSpot, lemlist, Slack, Instantly.

The play in seven steps

  1. Step 1: Capture product signups via webhook

Set up Clay to receive new sign-up data containing email, name, and username to trigger the enrichment pipeline.

  2. Step 2: Enrich contact

Use Clay's enrichment capabilities to identify LinkedIn profiles and gather details like job title, company, and location via Findymail and Clay AI.

  3. Step 3: Classify the email type

Employ Clay AI to determine whether contacts signed up with work or personal email addresses, storing results in a dedicated column.

  4. Step 4: Enrich company

Build complete company profiles using domain information, capturing industry, headcount, location, and LinkedIn presence.

  5. Step 5: Perform lead scoring

Apply Clay formulas to assess fit based on job title and seniority, company size and industry, and location; assign contacts into three tiers.

  6. Step 6: Sync to HubSpot

Push enriched records to the CRM, creating or updating contact and company records with appropriate properties.

  7. Step 7: Route into tiered outreach

Direct Tier 1 contacts to LinkedIn via lemlist with Slack alerts; route Tiers 2 and 3 to automated email sequences through Instantly.
