Quick answer
Frontal helps B2B tech companies grow revenue without adding headcount, with experienced operators running signal-based outbound, ABM, paid media, content and RevOps against a focused set of target accounts in the client’s own tools. Workflows.io sells LinkedIn content, automated outbound and RevOps as quarterly subscriptions and runs ABM as a separate sprint.
Methodology
How We Compared Frontal vs Workflows.io
We approached this the way we’d want any buyer to vet an AI lead generation partner, by reading what each company says it does in its own words. That meant going through all the services described across Frontal and Workflows.io, plus the customer stories behind them.
From all of that, we settled on five criteria, the ones that shape what working with either partner looks like once the contract is signed.
- Who it’s for. The kind of company and market size each partner is set up to serve.
- How the work is scoped. Whether you start with the one service you need or sign up for a set program.
- Where the work lives. Whose CRM, Clay workspace and inboxes it runs in, and what you keep when it ends.
- Who steers the outreach. How much of it a person directs and how much runs on automation.
- What counts as a result. The numbers each partner reports and where they come from.
Everything we say about Workflows.io comes from its own site and Clay’s partner directory. Where something isn’t published, we’ve left it out.
Since we wrote this comparison, you already know which side we’re on. What we promise is that every claim comes with a source you can check yourself.

Where Frontal and Workflows.io Differ Once the Work Starts
Most of what separates us from Workflows.io shows up a couple of months in, once the work is running. We went through how each company says it runs its engagements, and we will expand on it here.
Who Steers the Outreach
Frontal
Our operators pick the accounts, write and launch the campaigns, handle replies and fix routing in your CRM, adjusting targeting and messaging as the replies come in. AI covers the repetitive research, like account summaries and enrichment, and you approve the lists and messages before each campaign goes live.
Workflows.io
Workflows.io pairs senior strategy with hands-on execution run through AI workflows. On RevOps, that means one or two dedicated GTM engineers working 10 to 20 hours a week. On outbound, its goal is to automate 90% of the cold outbound motion.
How the Work Is Scoped
Frontal
You start with whichever service fixes your biggest gap, and you don’t need a RevOps team in place first. We map your best-fit accounts, review your tools and data and agree on the opening campaign with you. Other services come in later, only where they’d help.
Workflows.io
You choose a program, and each comes with its own fit rule. Automated outbound is meant for markets of 20,000+ companies with an average lifetime value above $5,000, while the ABM Program covers smaller markets where lifetime value tops $50,000 and runs as a four- or six-month sprint.
Chamelio’s CEO was running outbound himself and wanted it to stop depending on him. We started with signal-driven plays, and one built from a legal tech conference’s attendee list booked a meeting for every fourth message sent. The whole setup runs in Chamelio’s own Clay, CRM and inboxes, as the Chamelio case study shows.
What Counts as a Result
Frontal
Before anything launches, we settle with you what a qualified opportunity looks like and which channel gets credit when one comes in. Our reports then follow accepted opportunities and the pipeline your CRM records, plus closed-won revenue by account on ABM programs.
Lead and meeting counts are never promised, and opens or send volume don’t count as results, since neither says anything about pipeline.
Workflows.io
Workflows.io ties each subscription month to outcomes agreed with the client and lists reporting as part of its outbound work. It doesn’t publish any guarantees, and it doesn’t say which numbers its reports are built on.
At Peoplelogic, VP of Sales Austin Evans tracked two conversions, from replies to meetings and from meetings to opportunities. Testing title groups against each other showed that culture and employee engagement titles made up only 46% of the list but drove 86% of positive replies, and the program reached 100 meetings a month. The Peoplelogic case study has the full numbers.
What It Costs
Frontal
Prices aren’t published, because the scope depends on which services you need and what’s already in place. We set it with you on the first call, and on paid media, ad spend always sits apart from our fee.
Workflows.io
As of October 2026, its site lists a starting price for each service, with the final figure set by scope. LinkedIn content starts at $4,000 a month, automated outbound and RevOps at $5,000, and the ABM Program runs $6,000 to $12,000 a month.
Who You Work With
Frontal
An engagement manager is your day-to-day contact, and the operators running your campaigns sit in your Slack. Your sales team joins the results reviews, which is where most of our targeting changes come from.
Workflows.io
Day to day, clients work with Workflows.io through calls and Slack. On LinkedIn content, its writers interview your founder and team, and your team approves posts between calls.
[ Which fits ]
Frontal vs Workflows.io: Which One Should You Pick?
Picture what needs to be true by the end of your next quarter, then find the row that matches it. If you’re still working out which channels belong in that quarter, our GTM strategy framework sets out the order to build them in.
| What Your Team Needs | Frontal | Workflows.io |
|---|---|---|
| Qualified pipeline from a defined list of target accounts | This is at the core of what we do. Accounts are scored on buying signals, and outbound, ads and content all run against the same list, with every opportunity tracked in your CRM. | Its ABM Program maps and tiers every account in a smaller market and tracks buying signals across them. It’s sold as a sprint with a set end date. |
| Help without hiring a full in-house team | Our operators cover everything from account research to CRM fixes, so you don’t need a separate hire for each skill. | Its team combines senior strategy with hands-on execution powered by AI workflows. |
| Automated outbound across a large addressable market | Not our focus. We keep volume controlled and aim it at the accounts showing buying signals. | This is where its outbound is aimed, with volume campaigns covering the whole market alongside smaller signal-based ones across email, LinkedIn and calls. |
| A founder-led LinkedIn presence that brings in demand | Content Engineering turns interviews with your founder and team into posts and articles, and engagement from target accounts can feed straight into outbound. | Two to three posts a week per profile, written from biweekly interviews, with design included and engaged leads sent to Slack. |
| A one-time RevOps or HubSpot build | Not our focus. What we build stays documented in your tools, and we’re set up to keep running and improving it after launch. | RevOps sprints average about two months per use case, and HubSpot builds start with a three-week blueprint. |
When Frontal Isn’t the Right Fit
We’re the wrong partner if you haven’t found product-market fit yet, or if your plan depends on outbound volume. We also won’t promise a set number of leads or meetings, so teams that need that guarantee should know before the first call.
A one-off build you want handed over isn’t a fit either, and we don’t sell intent data subscriptions. If any of that describes you, we’ll say so in the first 30 minutes.
[ The real questions ]
What Buyers Ask
How Do We Move From Workflows.io to Frontal Without Pausing Outreach?
List what Workflows.io set up for you, especially the sending domains, inboxes and Clay tables, and check whose accounts they’re in. We then rebuild anything worth keeping in your own tools and time the switch to the end of your quarterly commitment, so sends don’t stop.
Can Frontal Work Next to Another Agency or Our Own Team?
Yes. Before anything launches, we split ownership by channel and by account, and everyone works from one account list in your CRM. That way nobody contacts the same buyer twice, and your reps can see who’s been in touch.
What Should We Ask a GTM Partner Before We Sign?
Ask whose CRM, Clay workspace and inboxes the work will live in, and what stays with you if you leave. Then ask how the plan changed for a recent client after the first month, because that shows whether anyone is steering at all.
What Happens When We Book a Call With Frontal?
It’s a 30-minute call with one of our senior operators. Bring your KPIs and what you’ve already tried, and we’ll tell you where we’d start and how we’d measure it. If the honest answer is that we’re not the right partner, we’ll say that instead.
Is Workflows.io Software or a Service?
It’s a services company. Alongside its paid work, it publishes free GTM workflows and a directory of AI tools, which may be why searches for it often turn up workflow software. Frontal is a services company as well, with operators doing the work and AI supporting them.
Do Frontal or Workflows.io Run Paid Ads?
Frontal does. Our Paid Media service runs LinkedIn and Google ads and sends conversions from your CRM back to the platforms, so the budget moves toward the campaigns bringing in pipeline. The ad accounts stay in your name. Workflows.io doesn’t list paid media among its services.
