# Frontal’s MCP server

Updated October 26, 2026

Server URL `https://frontal.so/mcp`

- **Sign-in** None needed
- **Transport** Streamable HTTP
- **Access** Read only, except booking

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client to frontal.so. Your assistant can then answer from Frontal’s own pages: the five services, the published case studies, the GTM plays library and the FAQ. When you ask for a call, it can start the booking for you.

Every answer names the frontal.so page it came from. Every tool only reads what the site already publishes, except one: `request_intro_call`, which sends your work email to Frontal when you ask to book a call.

## Connect it

Pick your app. Each button opens that app’s own install form with Frontal filled in, and nothing is added until you confirm it there.

### Claude

Opens Claude’s Add custom connector form with Frontal filled in. You confirm it.

Then ask, for example: “What does Frontal do for RevOps?”, “Show me Frontal’s case studies that used Clay”, or “I’d like to book a call with Frontal.”

## The GTM API directory server

The [GTM API directory](https://frontal.so/gtm-apis) has its own MCP server, at `https://frontal.so/gtm-apis/mcp`. It answers with the directory’s verified prices, free tiers, rate limits, auth and MCP servers for 26 go-to-market APIs, plus 67 comparisons and 4 stacks. Its 7 tools only read, and it needs no sign-in. Connect it where you build: Cursor, VS Code or Claude Code.

### Claude

Install in VS Code

### Claude Code

One command in your terminal.

`claude mcp add --transport http frontal-gtm-apis https://frontal.so/gtm-apis/mcp`

### Any MCP client

Streamable HTTP, no sign-in. 7 read-only tools, from search\_apis to compare\_apis.

`https://frontal.so/gtm-apis/mcp`

## Step by step

If a button does not open your app, add the server by hand. These steps use Frontal’s server; for the GTM API directory, use `https://frontal.so/gtm-apis/mcp` instead.

### Claude

On claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Customize, then Connectors. Choose Add, then Add custom connector. Name it Frontal, paste `https://frontal.so/mcp`, continue, and choose No sign in.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it once under Organization settings, Connectors, and members connect it from Customize, Connectors.

### Claude Code

Run this in a terminal:

```
claude mcp add --transport http frontal https://frontal.so/mcp
```

### ChatGPT

In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server. Name it Frontal, enter `https://frontal.so/mcp` as the server URL, choose No authentication and create it. On Business and Enterprise plans, an admin may need to turn on developer mode first.

### Cursor

Add the server to `~/.cursor/mcp.json`, or to `.cursor/mcp.json` in a project:

```
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "frontal": {
      "url": "https://frontal.so/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

### VS Code

Add it to `.vscode/mcp.json` in your workspace, or run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette and choose HTTP:

```
{
  "servers": {
    "frontal": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://frontal.so/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

## What it can do

The server has 13 tools. This list is read from the server itself.

`about_frontal`

**About Frontal** The company in one place: what Frontal is, its key facts, its five services, the team with their roles and LinkedIn profiles, contacts, and where the machine-readable files are.

Reads published content

`list_services`

**List Frontal services** Frontal’s five services, each with a one-line summary and its page.

Reads published content

`get_service`

**Get one service** One service in full as its page shows it: headline, description, use cases with what each includes and the tools used, the proof, the FAQ, and the case studies that used it.

Reads published content

`list_case_studies`

**List case studies** Published client case studies with their headline result, industry, services and tools. Filter by service, industry, tool or free text. In apps that show interactive cards, the results render as a list the user can page through.

Reads published content Shows a card

`get_case_study`

**Get one case study** One case study: the result, the stats, the client quote, industry, services, tools and dates, plus the full story as markdown.

Reads published content

`search_plays`

**Search GTM plays** Search the GTM plays library: step-by-step go-to-market workflows by Kenny Damian, Frontal’s Head of GTM. Filter by free text, motion (Inbound, Outbound, Content...), channel (Email, LinkedIn...) or tool (Clay, Apollo...). In apps that show interactive cards, the results render as a list the user can page through.

Reads published content Shows a card

`get_play`

**Get one GTM play** One play in full: summary, every numbered step, the tool stack and its page.

Reads published content

`get_faq`

**Get FAQ answers** Answers to the questions buyers ask Frontal (terms, guarantees, who runs the work, tools) and each service’s FAQ. Filter by free text or service.

Reads published content

`how_to_book`

**How to book a call** How to book an intro call with Frontal: the booking link, what it needs and what happens next. This tool books and sends nothing. In apps that show interactive cards it shows a booking form the user fills in themselves; otherwise, once the user asks for a call, request\_intro\_call starts the booking.

Reads published content Shows a card

`request_intro_call`

**Request an intro call** Start booking a 30-minute intro call with Frontal for the user, and get the booking link to give them. Call it only when the user has asked to talk to Frontal or to book a call, and only with the user’s own work email that the user gave you in this conversation: never an address you found, guessed or were given for someone else. Confirm with the user before calling it, because it sends their email to Frontal. It sends the email, with any name, company, website, service of interest and note the user gave, to Frontal (the same capture as the booking form on frontal.so; Frontal’s team may follow up by email about the call), and returns the book.frontal.so link with the email filled in. Nothing is booked until the user opens the link and picks a time. Free email domains such as gmail.com are not accepted. Calling it again with the same details within ten minutes usually returns the same link and sends nothing new (a best-effort check, so call it once).

Sends your details to Frontal Shows a card

`ask`

**Ask Frontal** Ask a question about Frontal in plain language, for example “Do you guarantee meetings?” or “Which CRMs do you work with?”. Returns the frontal.so pages that answer it, ranked, each with the passage that matched and a link to that passage. In summarize mode (the default) it also returns a one to three sentence answer written only from those passages, with a citation on every sentence. Every number and name in that answer is checked against the passages it cites, and an answer that fails a check is left out: then answer from the passages, or read a page with get\_page, rather than guessing. The same engine as https://frontal.so/ask.

Reads published content

`search_site`

**Search frontal.so** Search every indexable page on frontal.so (services, case studies, plays, blog posts, company and legal pages) by title, description and section headings. Returns the page URL and its markdown version.

Reads published content

`get_page`

**Read a page as markdown** The markdown version of any indexable frontal.so page, by URL or path, for example https://frontal.so/services/revops or /plays/closed-lost-revival.

## Interactive cards

In Claude, ChatGPT and other apps that support MCP Apps, four of the tools show an interactive card in the conversation. The card follows the app’s light or dark theme. Apps without cards get the same answer as text.

The intro-call card: a work email field, an optional company field, the five Frontal services and Not sure yet as choices, and a Continue to booking button.

***Booking card.** Shown by `how_to_book` and `request_intro_call`. You enter your work email, and your company and the service you are interested in if you like. The card sends them with `request_intro_call`, then opens book.frontal.so with your email filled in, so you can pick a time.*

The case studies card: published client results listed three at a time, each with the client, the headline result, the industry and the services, with page controls and a Book a call button.

***Case studies and plays card.** Shown by `list_case_studies` and `search_plays`. It lists the published results or the GTM plays a page at a time, and each row opens its page on frontal.so. The card only opens links on frontal.so and book.frontal.so, and only when you click.*

## Ask Frontal on this site

No assistant to connect? Ask Frontal answers from the same pages, here on frontal.so. Press Cmd+K or Ctrl+K on any page, or use the button below. It lists the matching pages as you type; choose your question for a short answer that cites the pages it used. When a short answer is not available, you get the matching pages instead.

## What the booking tool sends, and where

`request_intro_call` runs only when you ask to talk to Frontal or book a call, with the work email you give. It makes the same capture as the booking form on frontal.so.

**What it sends**

Your work email. Your name, company, company website, the service you are interested in and a short note, only if you gave them. With them, a record of where the request came from: the source (`mcp`), the campaign tags `utm_source=mcp`, `utm_medium=ai-assistant` and `utm_campaign=request_intro_call`, the time, and the name your assistant’s app sends with its requests (for example `Claude-User`).

**Where it goes**

Clay, where Frontal keeps its lead records, and Frontal’s lead-routing tool, which runs the booking app at book.frontal.so. If you do not pick a time, the lead-routing tool may add you as a contact and a deal in HubSpot, Frontal’s CRM, and tell Frontal’s team in Slack, so someone can follow up by email.

**What it never does**

It does not read your conversation. It refuses free email domains such as gmail.com, and more than one person per request. It does not book a meeting: the call is booked only when you pick a time on book.frontal.so.

**Repeats**

The same request again within ten minutes usually returns the same link and sends nothing new. The check is best effort, so a repeat can reach Frontal twice.

**How long Frontal keeps it**

Lead records are kept for 24 months after your last interaction with Frontal, as the [Privacy Policy](https://frontal.so/privacy) explains. To see, correct or delete what Frontal holds about you, email [privacy@frontal.so](mailto:privacy@frontal.so).

The other 12 tools send nothing to Frontal beyond the request itself: they read the pages, case studies, plays and FAQ that frontal.so already publishes.

## Privacy, terms and support

- [Privacy Policy](https://frontal.so/privacy): what Frontal collects, why, who it shares it with and how long it keeps it.
- [Terms and Conditions](https://frontal.so/terms).
- Support and questions about the server: [sales@frontal.so](mailto:sales@frontal.so).
- Requests about your data: [privacy@frontal.so](mailto:privacy@frontal.so).

## For developers

**Endpoint**

`POST https://frontal.so/mcp`, JSON-RPC 2.0 over Streamable HTTP. Stateless: no sessions, JSON responses, one request per POST, no batches. `GET` answers 405.

**Protocol versions**

2025-11-25, 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26, 2024-11-05

**Capabilities**

Tools, two `ui://` resources (the cards, `text/html;profile=mcp-app`) and the MCP Apps extension `io.modelcontextprotocol/ui`. Every tool declares a title, read and write hints and an output schema.

**Limits**

64 KB a request, 120 requests a minute per client, 5 booking requests a minute per client and 12 written answers a minute per client from `ask` (past that, `ask` returns the matching pages and passages). A bad argument comes back as a tool error that names it.

**Server Card**

[https://frontal.so/mcp/server-card](https://frontal.so/mcp/server-card), also listed in [/.well-known/ai-catalog.json](https://frontal.so/.well-known/ai-catalog.json).

**Ask Frontal**

`ask` runs the same engine as the NLWeb endpoint `https://frontal.so/ask`: it ranks passages from the site’s own pages, and a model on Frontal’s Cloudflare Worker writes a short answer from those passages only. Every number and name in the answer is checked against the passages it cites before it is returned.

**Without MCP**

[llms.txt](https://frontal.so/llms.txt), and a markdown version of every page at its URL plus `.md`. Go-to-market API prices and limits are in the [GTM API directory](https://frontal.so/gtm-apis), which has its own MCP server.
